What training will you receive from your Instructor?
I am passionate about this business - that is SAFETY and helping you realise your dream of driving, not making money.
So I will:
On our first training session, check your eyes are up to the job.
Offer a good HONEST service to my pupils, and so better able to promote road safety.
Offer expert in-car guidance and provide structured lessons and teach to your individual ability.
Organise, via your appointment card, at least your next 4 training sessions.
Provide you with my personal training sheet so that you can record what you've achieved and what needs to be completed before your practical driving test.
Help you with the Theory and Hazard Perception Test.
Provide a free unique booklet to help you progress towards passing the test.
Offer advice on when to book your tests.
Go through with you the 'show me, tell me' questions covering basic maintenance.
Use the mock test to tell us BOTH when you’re ready for the practical test.
NOT make, or receive, mobile phone calls during your lesson (except emergencies).
I always encourage my pupils to get as much practice as possible, this helps them learn quicker. Unlike some instructors, I always encourage my pupils to keep the cost of their learning down with home practice. After a couple of sessions switching from car to car you will find that you develop a better feel for driving, possibly helping you to pass the test even quicker.
How long will it take? – The DSA suggests 2.5 hours per year of your age as a very rough guide, so they (DSA) suggest that an 18 year old will probably need at least 45 hours tuition plus 20 hours private practice.
But every one learns at their own rate, so the real answer is I don't know.
So what do YOU have to do?
